ReadWriteThink (:

file:///Users/CTS/Desktop/story.pdf  :
The first interactive activity i did on this website was a "fractured fairytale" and pretty much all you did was  take a fairy tale and change little things about it. I think its a good interactive activity. i think that it would be good for kids so they can let their imagination run and so they can take stories that everyone already knows and make them  theirs.

The second interavtive activity i did on this website was a "heros tale" and pretty much all you did was write your own hero story, honestly i found this activity kinda confusing and i dont know how well kids would be able to use this.

Current news :) 5.2.11 white bengal tigers

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/southafrica/5757149/Tiger-born-with-no-stripes.html

The article i found about white bengal tigers says that a baby white bengal tiger was born with NO stripes, there are fewer then 20 like this and they are all in captivity. They waited 6 months to see if the cubs stripes would appear but after six months they realized that she is one of the rarest of her kind.
I think that its so cool that this cub has no stripes, even though the stripes give them their originality, the no stripes does the same thing.  The tiger cub is beautiful thats for sure :)

Knol :)

http://knol.google.com/k/the-brain-thinking-and-memory#
The first "knol" i found that caught my interest was about the brain and memory, i really like how it used pictures to help show what they are talking about. In this article it talks about how the mind works and the different types of memory etc. i really enjoyed reading this.

http://knol.google.com/k/the-evolution-of-we-re-off-to-see-the-wizard#
The second "knol" i found that caught my interest was about the evolution of the song "we're off to see the wizard" from the wizard of oz. I found it really really cool because Ive always wondered what this song meant and how they came up with it etc, and this article really helped me understand it.

What a Knol should include:
- a title
- an authors name
- an introduction
- proof
- a summary
- examples
- a conclusion
- a list of refrences

current news :) 4.26.11 (unemployment)

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/united-states/unemployment-rate

The article i found was about how the employment increased by 216,000 in March, and the unemployment rate had little change.  Jobs are opening up in the business services, health care, leisure and hospitatliy and mining fields. I think that people could really find some sort of job is they really really tried, the problem is that most jobs need a college degree and there a lot of people that didn't go to college and they are paying for it now. I think that it should be a wakeup call to the teenagers now that college is a must. your future may depend on it.
